  • woman – lennon.

    Woman I can hardly express,
My mixed emotion at my thoughtlessness,
After all I’m forever in your debt,
And woman I will try to express,
    My inner feelings and thankfulness,
For showing me the meaning of succsess,
    oooh well, well,
    oooh well, well,

    Woman I know you understand
The little child inside the man,
Please remember my life is in your hands,
And woman hold me close to your heart,
However, distant don’t keep us apart,
After all it is written in the stars,
    oooh well, well,
    oooh well, well,

    Woman please let me explain,
I never mean(t) to cause you sorrow or pain,
So let me tell you again and again and again,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
    I love you (yeah, yeah)….

  • Well I hope that I don’t fall in love with you
‘Cause falling in love just makes me blue,
Well the music plays and you display your heart for me to see,
I had a beer and now I hear you calling out for me
And I hope that I don’t fall in love with you.

Well the room is crowded, people everywhere
And I wonder, should I offer you a chair?
Well if you sit down with this old clown, take that frown and break it,
Before the evening’s gone away, I think that we could make it,
And I hope that I don’t fall in love with you.

Well the night does funny things inside a man
These old tom-cat feelings you don’t understand,
Well I turn around to look at you, you light a cigarette,
I wish I had the guts to bum one, but we’ve never met,
And I hope that I don’t fall in love with you.

I can see that you are lonesome just like me,
And it being late, you’d like some some company,
Well I turn around to look at you, and you look back at me,
The guy you’re with has up and split, the chair next to you’s free,
And I hope that you don’t fall in love with me.

Now it’s closing time, the music’s fading out
Last call for drinks, I’ll have another stout.
Well I turn around to look at you, you’re nowhere to be found,
I search the place for your lost face, guess I’ll have another round
And I think that I just fell in love with you.

Edit: This is one of the few songs where I like the cover (by hootie and the blowfish cover of this song) better than the original.

  • Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone.
It’s not warm when she’s away.
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she’s always gone too long anytime she goes away.

Wonder this time where she’s gone,
Wonder if she’s gone to stay
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain’t no home anytime she goes away.

    And I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
    I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
    I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
    I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know

Hey, I ought to leave the young thing alone,
But ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone, only darkness everyday.
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone,
And this house just ain’t no home anytime she goes away.

    Anytime she goes away.
    Anytime she goes away.
    Anytime she goes away.
    Anytime she goes away.

  • Dil Chahta Hai

    Kaisa ajab yeh safar hai,

Socho ki har ik hi bekhabar hai,

    Usko jaana kidhar hai,

Jo waqt aaye jaane kya dikhaaye.

  • Now, I’m usually not the kind of person who likes to listen to songs on loop – over and over and over again. But lately (past 2 months), a lot of songs have got my attention and seem to occupy a permanent state on my playlist.

    These are:

    1) Aqualung – Brighter than sunshine (this comes first since I’m listening to it right now)

    2) Joe strummer & the Mescaleros -mondo bongo (theme from mr and mrs smith, the latin song that jolie and pitt dance to in the very beginning)

    3) Roobaroo – from Rang de Basanti – a brilliant song to get up to. especially when you need to get studying for an exam.

    4) Stereophonics – Maybe Tomorrow (One of their most famous songs, I thinks)

    5) Tegan and Sara – Fix you up (Chewie says it sounds a little lesbian; maybe it is but it makes for good listening)

    6) Interpol – Antics (Evil)

    7) Thirteen Senses – Into the Fire

    8) Keane – Somewhere only we know

Thats it for now. Do check these out if you get the chance.
